Learning Through Family History Webinars

There are so many resources available to those seeking to do Family History. If you haven’t tried tuning in to a live webinar or one that is archived for later viewing, you are in for an exciting adventure.

The Family History Library in Salt Lake City provides free webinars each month on a variety of topics and for a variety of skill levels. By following this link, you can see a schedule of classes offered for June, 2020. There are also webinars that are archived if the topics you are interested in are not taught this month.

Ancestry provides a number of videos that will help researchers find information about their family. If you have an account with Ancestry.com, you can log in to your account. On the homepage, click “extras”, then click “Ancestry Academy” you can browse their archive of videos to help you with your your family research. This resource contains short videos, (Five Minute Finds) and video series that go into much greater depth in topics you may be interested in.

BYU Family History Library, has a vast archive of webinars that have been recorded for access at any time. When you visit the website you can sign up to participate in “live webinars” these are usually on Fridays, and offer the viewer a chance to ask questions (chat box) during the live presentation or at the end. As part of your Family History education, subscribe to the BYU Family History Library YouTube channel to have access these vast resources.
